| They decided to invite a prominent group of prestigious Restaurant owners and Hotel Entrepreneurs to be the participant cells of this Fest, 14 Restaurant owners begun the task and organized the first Wine Fest.
The success of this first event exceeded all expectations, so the board decides to organize the Fest every year with the idea of making it the most important event of the destination in a term of three years.
Adding the Vallarta Wine Fest to the already recognized gastronomic prestige of the destination; excellent food plus excellent wines equals plain gastronomy. This is a point of attraction for the international tourism.
As a strategy, the idea was to convert the event not only in a tourist attraction, but above all, a reward for the visitor’s loyalty. That is why it is organized during high season when there are lots of tourists on place, so they can find in Vallarta not only Sun and Beach but also superior quality events.
We want to make out of the Vallarta Wine Fest a party for everyone, everybody is part of it and everybody is an organizer, the party of the village, spread the Arts & Wine culture to all the social classes from the city.
Based in the success of 2007, for 2008 the chosen slogan is: Culture Party Time. Along with the Wine related events, the training and qualification centers for professional and amateurs, a true storm of cultural events is organized: poetry contest, photography contest, plastic arts exhibition of the Centro 10 group, young wine theme painting exhibition, concerts, country fairs….Party. It is Party time for Culture.
The interest of the ministry of culture of Jalisco State is attracted and the support from the Art and Culture Department of the municipality of Puerto Vallarta, a tribune for the music schools of the city is open.
On February 27th, 28th, 29th and March 1st, is Party time for Culture in Vallarta.
